BIOGRAPHY

Kiril Georgiev

Kiril Georgiev began his musical training at the age of 6 with Iskra Paliéva and prof. Dr. Paliév who introduced him to percussion instruments. After completing his secondary studies with "Excellent" at the National Music School L.Pipkov in Sofia in the class of M.Paliéva, he was awarded a diploma from the Bulgarian Ministry of Culture for high artistic merits. In 2010, Kiril finished his Masters at the National Academy of Music and Dance P.Vladiguerov in Sofia, in the class of prof. Dr. T. Karparova. From 2007 Kiril Georgiev became assistant professor at the Higher National Academy of Music and Dance in Sofia. He is the holder of numerous international prizes (Siegfried Fink 97, Young talents 98, Special prize of the "Music and the Earth" competition for best virtuoso interpretation, 1st prize and gold medal at the S.Obréténov competition in 2008, special prize of the National Academy of Music for an author's composition ...). At the age of 17, he was accepted into the Sofia Orchestra and from then on worked with many orchestras (Nice, Monte-Carlo, Cannes, Der Nazionen Hamburg, Metropolitan Orchestra Tokyo, Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra, Mannheim Orchestra , Dublin Philharmonic Orchestra, Sofia National Opera, Bulgarian National Radio Orchestra). Very interested in pedagogy, after obtaining his State diploma he teaches at the Cannes Conservatory and at the school des Alpes Maritimes, before becoming a teacher at the Jacqueline Robin Conservatory in Taverny, and at the school of music and dance of Soisy-sous-Montmorency. In 2019, F. Dhalmann (Strasbourg) publish his first piece for two bass drums Just Two.

Jean-Philippe Wolmann

Jean-Philippe Wolmann begins his learning of the trumpet at the age of 9 ; after complete musical studies and diplomas at the music academies of Creteil and Troyes (France), he receives a Bachelor's degree of musicology at Paris IV-Sorbonne university and then a interpreter Bachelor's degree at Conservatoire National Superieur de Musique of Paris in the class of Mr Antoine Curé.
Member of the Sapeurs-Pompiers Wind Band of Paris, he is particularly interested by playing his instrument in the orchestra and is brought to collaborate regularly with different professional orchestras such as Orchestre de Picardie, Paris National Opera Orchestra, Ensemble
Intercontemporain or Orchestre Symphonique de l'Aube.
Equally interested by pedagogy, he is currently trumpet/cornet teacher at the J.B.Lully conservatory in Puteaux, after six years of teaching in Taverny conservatory. There he met Kiril Georgiev and created a trumpet-percussion duet in 2018, around a highly varied repertory, composed of original modern pieces along with transcriptions of classical repertoire and traditional music.
